The dashboard becomes an office
- One desk per client, with a character working at it — each client keeps the same face across visits, and the desks are the links.
- A third stat tile: archived clients, alongside active clients and the open workspace.
- Everything decorative honours reduced-motion preferences and stays out of the accessibility tree.
A front door that opens
- You can create an account directly — every call to action used to say “Sign in”, which read as a locked door to anyone who did not already have a login.
- Public pages are served as real HTML, so search engines index them and a shared link finally unfurls with a title, description and preview image.
- Added this changelog and a writeup on why posted entries are immutable.
- Privacy-preserving first-party usage counts, with no third-party scripts and no cookies.
An issue board, answered in thread
- Report a problem or request a feature from inside the app, vote on what matters, and read the team’s replies in the same thread.
- Reports are visible to every signed-in member; diagnostic details stay between the author and the team.
Self-diagnosing billing errors
- When a subscription action fails, the message now says which step failed and what to do about it, instead of a generic failure.
Suspension handling
- A suspended firm now sees a clear explanation that its data is intact, rather than a wall of failed panels.
- Fixed the suspend dialog rendering behind other content.
Free plan, and a supporter plan
- Every feature moved to the free plan — no trial, no seat count, no locked capability.
- Added an optional $5 a month supporter plan, settled through Stripe. It unlocks nothing.
- Added a platform admin portal for plan management and account suspension.
IRS digest that reads the source
- The dashboard digest now deep-reads each IRS release, quotes it verbatim with multiple citations, and fact-checks itself before publishing.
- Triage covers the whole year rather than a recent window.
Scheduled IRS news digest
- A daily digest of IRS newsroom releases on the dashboard, every claim carrying a verbatim quote and a link to its source.
- Refresh it on demand from Settings.
Void semantics tightened
- An offsetting entry can no longer itself be voided, which previously allowed a correction chain that was hard to read.
- Corrected the row-level security evidence in the documentation.
Row-level security enforced at runtime
- Tenant isolation is now asserted inside every query transaction, not only by policy definition.
- Added the public landing page — before this, visiting the domain threw you straight at the identity provider.
Composer conflict recovery
- If two people edit the same draft, the second save is refused and offers to reload rather than overwriting silently.
- Guarded against truncated exports.
Statement deletes and void semantics
- Delete an imported statement without losing the history of what it produced.
- Voiding posts a dated offsetting entry, leaving both sides visible in the ledger.
- Faster permanent purge for owners.
Workbook reports and JE lifecycle tools
- Drag-and-drop custom report builder with formulas and immutable report versions.
- Direct posting for entries that need no review, plus quick reversal workflows.
Standard chart of accounts
- New books start from a standard chart of accounts you can rename, nest or extend.
- Account lifecycle controls and gap analysis.
First public release
- Firms, clients and books, with role-based access and database-level isolation.
- Draft, approve, post and reverse journal entries. Trial balance, P&L and balance sheet.
- Bank statement import with AI classification into reviewable drafts.
Versions before 0.2.0 predate the first public release and are not listed. Every entry here corresponds to a release commit on the main branch.
